Help Desiree Through an Unimaginable Loss
Donation protected
I don’t even know how to begin writing this because there are no words that can fully capture what Desiree is going through.
On March 8th, her world completely shattered. Her husband, Dave, took his own life. He left that morning like he was heading to work—but he never came back. No warnings. No goodbyes. Just a heartbreaking, gut-wrenching loss that has left Desiree trying to pick up the pieces of a life that no longer looks anything like it did before.
And as if that wasn’t enough, she’s also recovering from major surgery—just weeks ago, she had a kidney removed due to cancer. While she’s trying to process this unbearable grief, she’s also trying to heal physically, and on top of it all, she’s drowning in the financial strain that comes with losing the person who helped keep everything together.
Desiree is doing everything she can—rehoming her animals, selling her things, even giving up her car—just to stay afloat.
If you know Desiree, you know she’s the one who always helps others, no matter how little she has. She’s been through hell and back—homelessness, addiction, cancer—but she’s never stopped showing up for the people she loves. And now, she needs us to show up for her. Even through all the hardships she's endured, her love, faith and trust in Jesus never wavered. It's honestly inspiring.
We’re raising money to help her survive this heartbreaking chapter, to ease some of the financial weight so she can focus on simply making it through each day. Any amount helps, and if you’re not able to give, even just sharing this means the world.
No one should have to go through this alone. Let’s remind Desiree that she’s not.
Thank you for your kindness, your love, and your support. It means everything.
If you or someone you know is struggling, please reach out. You are not alone.
