Help Derek King Heal and Get Back on His Feet

Hi everyone,

If you know Derek King, you already know he’s a one-of-a-kind spirit — full of laughter, loyalty, and a love for making people smile. He’s the kind of person who brings light into every room, lifts others up when they’re down, and probably has made you laugh or shared a dance with you at some point.

Right now, Derek needs our help.

Since June 13th, Derek has been hospitalized due to a severe case of Diverticulitis. He’s already endured four medical procedures and continues to battle a growing abscess and infection that’s kept him from being discharged. It's been an exhausting and painful journey — and unfortunately, he's still not out of the woods.

As many of you know, Derek has worked tirelessly in the service industry for years. But missing this much work comes at a cost.

Derek is now facing the heavy financial burden of rent, food, and medications, all while he remains unable to earn a paycheck. He's never been one to ask for help — but now it's our turn to show up for him, just like he would do for any of his friends.
