He’s the kind of person who brings light into every room, lifts others up when they’re down, and probably has made you laugh or shared a dance with you at some point.

<div>Since June 13th, Derek has been hospitalized due to a severe case of Diverticulitis. He’s already endured four medical procedures and continues to battle a growing abscess and infection that’s kept him from being discharged. It's been an exhausting and painful journey — and unfortunately, he's still not out of the woods.

<div>As many of you know, Derek has worked tirelessly in the service industry for years. But missing this much work comes at a cost.
