Hi everyone! I’m organizing this GoFundMe for a dear friend and coworker, Denise, an incredible cath lab tech, and an even better human.

What happened:

Last weekend, Denise was in a serious car accident that totaled her car. She didn’t require hospitalization (thankfully), but she’s recovering from significant bruising in her chest and swelling in her arms and foot. Without a car, she can’t commute or take her sister to medical appointments.

Why this is urgent:

Denise is the primary caregiver for her sister, who has lived with a traumatic brain injury since age 13. Denise handles rides to doctor visits, grocery runs, and daily support all on top of commuting from Hollywood to Thousand Oaks for per-diem cath lab shifts. Losing her vehicle threatens her livelihood and her sister’s continuity of care.

Who Denise is:

She’s the teammate who shows up early, stays late, and somehow still remembers everyone’s birthday, often baking a cake to make coworkers feel special. Patients and colleagues rely on her calm, kind presence.

Reliable used vehicle: down payment/purchase, taxes, title, registration, basic insurance setup

Medical costs: co-pays, imaging, follow-ups, medications, PT if needed

Bridging expenses while she heals: temporary transportation (rideshare), caregiving costs
