Denis Parker is my 46-year-old son dying with stage 4 cancer. He has lung and lymphatic cancer throughout his entire body. He lives with me and my boyfriend in a 27-foot RV and sleeps on a couch. We have no running water or bathroom facilities.
He is predicted by several specialists to have less than 6 months to possibly a year to live. I and his older brother take him to medical appointments for chemotherapy. He has large tumors on his lungs and heart, which have decreased his ability to care for himself. Every day, he is growing worse, with difficulty breathing and frequent spells of blacking out from diminished air and blood flow to his body.
All Denis is asking is to die at home with his family and friends. To have a house with his own bedroom and space to rest. A place to keep his wheelchair and oxygen to breathe. A place of peace, safety, and privacy. I'm asking for the ability to give my dying son a real home.
