Hello, my name is Demika Williams. I’m from Saint Louis, MO. I have five kids aged 17, 12, 6, 4, and 3. It all started on May 16, 2025, when a tornado came to St. Louis, Missouri. My children and I lost everything. We were placed in a hotel, and then the Red Cross stepped in. I got a case manager, and the case manager found this private landlord. We moved on August 23, 2025, into a four-bedroom home that has black mold and no working heat. I’m using my oven to heat up my house. I am a severe asthmatic. My kids are getting sick every other week because of it. The landlord is not doing anything. He actually lives in Atlanta and did not fix the problem; they just rig things up so he can get the rent money. My children and I are desperately in need of help because I know since I have turned to the news, he is going to retaliate and try to evict us, and then we’re going to be homeless again. I pray God places it on someone's heart to bless us with a home. Because are out here taking advantage of us tornado victims
