EXONERATED OF MURDER!! HELP DEMETRIUS REBUILD HIS LIFE!

Our client, Demetrius Atchison, a young man who has been incarcerated for YEARS, was found NOT GUILTY OF MURDER yesterday, April 29th, 2025, after enduring the unimaginable; his own father, who was originally charged with the shooting and who every eyewitness described as the shooter, testified against him and tried to blame his own child, to save himself.

Demetrius was released last night with nothing and nowhere to live -- we have temporarily put him in a motel but have created this GoFundMe to help with long term housing and to provide basic resources for him as he transitions back into the community for the first time in a long time. The state provides NO RESOURCES to individuals in this position as far as housing, education or financial support and our only hope is to ask the community for help.

Demetrius is bright, motivated and determined to turn his life around. He plans on enrolling in school and working full time while he pursues a career working with other young men who end up in the system. He is determined to use his experience to help others.
