For Down Syndrome Awareness Month we are very excited to kick off this fundraiser.
YouTubers Elijah and Crumpet (me, Dad, Rob) have already given away over 7,000 of our kid’s books. We have collected over 250,000 10c drink containers so far to fund this project and we are well on our way to sending 2 free books to every public primary school in New South Wales, Australia (1,350 done, 250 to go)!
Elijah is 17, studying TAFE hospitality at Katoomba High School (where he is a prefect) and he has Down syndrome. Our books are a good read and also introduce kids to someone living with Down syndrome. All school libraries need diversity and representation in their books, so help us get more books out there!
We need your help to accelerate our project to reach all 4800 schools in Australia. Postage alone costs over $5, so that’s over $25,000 in postage, then there’s the printing cost on top of that.
So every bit helps - if we can turn 10c cans into books, turning your donations into stamps is the easy part! Thank you :)
