Deianira, one of our dedicated players has been diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma and is currently undergoing significant treatment which will continue into the coming months.

Deianira has a very strong network of friends and family. She has asked that anyone who wishes to show their support to consider donating to the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation (UPMC Children’s) where the contributions will be distributed to the Snack Cart on the Heme/Oncology floor.

This special cart is a beloved resource that provides snacks and food for patients and their families while they are undergoing treatment. Nira has felt and seen the joy it brings to other young patients and according to many social workers, this special amenity is something kids say is one of their favorite parts of being there—bringing comfort during their most challenging times.
