Our son Declan Oliver is battling a rare heart defect. Born at only 33 weeks and 5 lbs he has been a soldier since day one. Hypoplastic right heart syndrome is a very rare congenital heart defect in which the right atrium and right ventricle are underdeveloped. This defect causes inadequate blood flow to the lungs.  Declan has been in the NICU for almost 2 weeks and has a long road ahead of him. Currently he is being treated at UVA by some of the best cardiologist. Money raised by gofundme will be used to help family members pay for expenses such as travel, logging and everything that goes along with supporting and helping Declan.
