Help Deborah & Maggie Find Safe Shelter

Donation protected
After 21 years in my Section 8 apartment, I am being forced to leave because the Housing Authority of Los Angeles no longer has Section 8 properties available. The city is gentrifying and displacing current senior and disabled residents like myself, and I have nowhere to go. This has all happened so quickly, and I am feeling overwhelmed and traumatized by the sudden loss of my home.

I need to be out by March 27, and I am desperately searching for a safe place to stay with my dog, Maggie. She is a special needs dog who requires special food prepared twice a day, so it’s important for us to find a hotel that will accept her. In addition to covering hotel costs, I need help paying for storage and movers while I look for an affordable apartment. Your support will help me and Maggie get through this difficult transition and give us hope for a new beginning.

Thank you in advance for your help and kindness. Your generosity means the world to us, and every donation brings us one step closer to finding stability and safety again.
