My name is Debbie, and for the past two months, I have been unable to work due to illness. At 70 years old, I am facing the hardest time of my life. I have always worked full time, as my social security only covers a small portion of my basic needs each month. Now, with no income coming in, I am struggling to pay my rent and utilities, and I am terrified of losing my home.

I have never asked for help before, but I am so scared of being put on the street that I can barely sleep or eat.
