My name is Debbie, and for the past two months, I have been unable to work due to illness. At 70 years old, I am facing the hardest time of my life. I have always worked full time, as my social security only covers a small portion of my basic needs each month. Now, with no income coming in, I am struggling to pay my rent and utilities, and I am terrified of losing my home.

 I have never asked for help before, but I am so scared of being put on the street that I can barely sleep or eat. My rent and utility bills are piling up, and I owe money to the company that handles my water and sewer. I cry every night and pray all day for any kind of help until I can get back on my feet. If all goes as planned, I hope to return to work by mid-January 2026, but until then, I am in urgent need of support to keep a roof over my head and cover the basics.

 I know times are tight for everyone, and it is not easy to ask for help. I have always been the one to help others, but now I find myself in need.
