On February 12th, Steve Brundage lost a 20-month battle with an aggressive form of brain cancer. Steve was a gentle giant who loved God, family, cold craft beer and great basketball games. He was an absolutely adoring son, brother, husband, father and friend, and had an infectious smile. Steve fell absolutely head over heels for Deborah and frequently sent his bride flowers when she travelled for work. He took great joy in their children, Isabella and Stephen, and loved spending afternoons with them in the family pool.
Last summer, Steve and Deb were given a devastating cancer diagnosis following Father’s Day, but Steve remained steadfast in his commitment to God, and to his family. He remained positive and fought courageously through numerous experimental trials when surgery, chemo and radiation failed to stop the cancer. He was unwilling to give up until the very end. Deb made the difficult decision to step out of the workforce a year ago to ensure Steve could travel to Boston for treatment and because the cancer severely impacted Steve’s ability to both move and communicate.
Those who know Deb know that she is always the first to donate to others in need. This fund is designed to help her carry on Steve’s legacy by providing for the immediate needs and college educations of Izzy and Stephen.
