On November 22, Deanna was involved in a car accident that changed our lives in an instant.

There was a moment that night where we didn’t know if she was going to be okay. Sitting in that waiting room, not knowing, is something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. We are beyond grateful she is still here, but that night didn’t just disappear when we left the hospital.

Since then, she has been dealing with ongoing medical care, pain, and the loss of her vehicle. What used to be simple—getting up, going to work, having independence—has all been taken from her for now, and that has been incredibly hard to watch as a parent.

Deanna had been working as a substitute teacher, but without reliable transportation, she had to step away from that job. She’s trying to push forward while still healing, and it hasn’t been easy.

We are working through the insurance and legal process, but it is slow. In the meantime, she’s stuck in a place where she can’t fully move forward—and that’s the hardest part.

We are trying to raise $3,000 to help her get back on the road so she can regain her independence and start putting pieces of her life back together.
