A young family in Sacramento urgently needs help

Both parents are deaf and nonverbal. They are very kind and humble people, and they have almost no family or support here in the United States. I learned about their situation because our daughters attend the same daycare.

Their family is now facing an unimaginable tragedy.

The mother was 6 months pregnant with their second baby girl and had a very high-risk pregnancy with serious complications. She was rushed to the hospital in Davis, where she delivered her baby prematurely this morning at only 6 months.

Right now, doctors are fighting for the mother’s life. She has been in surgery for over 10 hours, and both mother and baby remain in critical condition.

The father is staying by his wife’s side at the hospital and caring for their family, which means he is currently unable to work.

This family urgently needs financial support for:

• rent and basic living expenses

• medical-related costs and transportation

• immigration/document renewal fees to maintain their legal status in the U.S. while they go through this medical emergency
