We are a team of neighbors in McLean Gardens (MCG!) in Washington, DC who have joined forces to sponsor a refugee through the WelcomeCorps. WelcomeCorps is a non-profit organization providing everyday Americans with the opportunity and support to help refugees build new lives in the United States. These individuals and families apply for refugee status through the Department of State, and we are excited to welcome one of them into the DC community in the coming weeks or months. Thank you so much for helping to financially support our newcomer--all proceeds (less GoFundMe fees) will go directly from us to the refugee or to pay for rent, furniture, and other needs of daily life.
