Dawn’s life changed dramatically when the Covid pandemic forced her business to close, leaving her without income or support. Since 2020, she has faced homelessness, moving between shelters and the streets of Houston. With no family left to turn to, Dawn has struggled to find stability and safety, enduring hardships that no one should have to face. During this time, she has experienced trauma and danger, including being assaulted while living on the streets. Despite these challenges, Dawn remains hopeful for a better future.

I met Dawn while doing disaster relief work in Texas, and her resilience inspired me to help. My company is now working to restore an old RV to provide her with a safe and stable home. We are covering the costs of refurbishing the RV and paying for her first two weeks of rent. However, Dawn needs more support to truly get back on her feet. The funds raised will go directly toward materials for repairs, six months of lot rent, food, and clothing. This support will not only give Dawn a secure place to live but also the stability she needs to focus on her mental health and pursue employment opportunities.
