Help Dawn Dobija's Family in Their Time of Need

Help support one of our favorite teachers and her family through a tough time. Dawn Dobija's two boys, Patrick (13) & Kellan (10) sadly lost their father on March 1st, 2025.

Dawn has navigated the past 4 years as a single mom with grace and strength for her boys while continuing to be a loving, key pillar of our community as well as a fun-loving, endlessly energetic mother of two very fun, energetic boys. She has faced difficulties with a tremendous sense of optimism for her family. 

Dawn has been a beloved pre-K teacher at Our Lady Star of the Sea since 2019 bringing her joy, dedication to the love of learning, and warmth to her classroom of 3-year-olds and their families. Despite managing all of the challenges in the background, you won't find Dawn without a smile on her face and a hug for you or your child. 

Her boys are growing fast! Patrick is headed to U of D Jesuit High School next fall and Kellan is entering 6th grade with high school just around the corner.
