Hello, I’m Davina. At 50 years old, with five wonderful children I adore, I never imagined I’d face homelessness. I’ve always believed in perseverance and independence—but after a series of unforeseen medical, financial, and personal challenges, I’m humbly asking for your help to keep my family together and rebuild our lives.
My journey has been filled with both hope and hardship. After a traumatic divorce in 2016, I returned to school and earned degrees in Sociology and Liberal Arts, and later completed a Professional Life Coach Certification. Despite my efforts, including selling our family home and living off the equity while searching for work, I was evicted in June 2025 after exhausting all savings and community resources. This has led to a temporary separation from my children until I can secure stable housing. I’ve applied for dozens of jobs and reached out to every local resource, but age bias, resume gaps, and health issues have made it difficult to find full-time work. The stress has affected both my health and my children’s well-being.
Your support will help us secure a safe home in North Richland Hills, cover medical expenses, and meet daily needs like groceries, utilities, and transportation. Every contribution brings us closer to stability and hope. My goal is to regain stability, use my life-coaching skills to help others, and show my children that resilience and community can triumph over hardship. Thank you for reading our story and helping a mother keep her family together.
