Melissa is raising funds for her brother, David, also known as Coqui, Coco, and Jade. The majority of those who know him know that David suffered a terrible accident about 4 months ago. He suffered a traumatic brain injury, skull and facial fractures, and spent quite some time in the ICU in a coma with a shunt in his brain. His family had no idea if he was going to survive or not, but by the grace of God, he is still here with them. As David got a little better, he was eventually transferred to a rehab hospital center, and then transferred again to his 3rd hospital. By being transferred to this 3rd hospital, he no longer gets the therapy he was getting at the rehab hospital. Unfortunately this has caused him to decline in everything the rehab hospital had achieved with him. The hospital that he is currently in, is considering to transfer him to a nursing home. And we have no idea how much longer he will be in this condition. He still has a long road ahead of him. Before the accident, David was very independent, hardworking, and very active. He was a nursing student, and the accident happened on his way to nursing school.

Unfortunately, due to the accident, David has no job and now has no source of income. He is now having to face medical bills and everyday living expenses while trying to recover. Melissa is asking for help so David can focus on healing instead of worrying about how he will pay for medical expenses, housing, transportation, essentials, and other daily necessities. Because these needs will continue throughout his recovery, recurring donations can provide steady, reliable support for the ongoing costs of housing, transportation, and basic living expenses while he is unable to work. One-time donations are also deeply appreciated and will make a meaningful difference. Truly, anything will be a blessing. If donating is not possible, sharing this fundraiser with family, friends, loved ones, and the community is another incredible way to support David. Thank you for your love, prayers, generosity, and kindness.
