Help David Lopez Fight Leukemia Together

Hi All! I have some very sad news from a dear friend of mine in our community. This hard working family has an 18 yr old son and 2 daughters. The son is David Morales López , he is 18, and was recently diagnosed with Leukemia. He has always been an outgoing, funny, and energetic person. He enjoys hanging out with his friends, and playing soccer. To receive this kind of news has been heartbreaking for him, and his family. The following weeks will be tough, but with the support of our community, family, friends, and most importantly God, we will persevere. The family is in shock and is trying to be with him every day for his tests and treatments. Currently he is in Lexington at the Children's Hospital, but will move to MUSC in Charleston if necessary. Their home is here in Aiken and there will not be anyone here and able to keep working in order to be with him. They desperately need the help in order to stay by his side. I have reached out to their church and various other organizations to see what can be done to help. Just paying for parking, eating, and finding a place to stay is an enormous expense. I know, I have been there! If there is anything that you can donate for these wonderful people, it will be much appreciated in helping to keep a family with a scared son together, while he goes through this. These are people that I have had in my life help me through my own personal struggles. I consider them as my family . Please keep David in your prayers as he faces this situation. Anything helps!
