David and Lisa Bousquet, my next-door neighbors, experienced a devastating fire at about 9:30 on Friday night. A ventilation fan caught fire in their residence, where they live with their elderly disabled aunt. Within minutes, the home was fully engulfed, and David and Lisa lost nearly everything they owned. The fire has left them and their aunt without a place to live, and they are facing the challenge of rebuilding their lives from scratch.

David and Lisa live paycheck to paycheck, so the loss of their belongings and their home is especially overwhelming. They need support to replace essential items, secure temporary housing, and cover basic needs as they work to recover from this tragedy. David grew up in Pittsfield and has spent most of his life in Pittsfield or Chichester. He is known in the community as someone who would give the shirt off his back to help others, and now he and his family need help themselves.
