Hi, my name is Germany and I recently met a kind man named David living behind my work building in Baton Rouge, LA, near the dumpsters.
During my lunch break, I sat down with him and had a simple conversation. While others gave me strange looks, I saw him as what he is: a human being with a story. David shared that he was once attacked, hit in the head, and hospitalized. In that moment, he lost the few belongings he had.
Right now, David is homeless but not hopeless. He doesn’t have family here and often searches trash cans just to eat. I promised to bring him lunch each day when I can, but I know he needs more than food. A coat, hygiene supplies, and basic items could make a huge difference in his life.
That’s why I’m starting this GoFundMe. Every dollar raised will go directly to helping David with meals, clothing, and essential needs as we work toward finding him more stability.
If you can’t donate, please share David’s story. Together, we can remind him that he isn’t invisible and that hope is still alive. ✨
Thank you,
Germany
