In loving memory of David Wiltse

Hi, my name is Janelle and my brother Steve and I are raising money to help our brother-in-law Dave and his family while he begins his journey to beat Esophageal Cancer.

This past year had already been a struggle for Dave and then after several months of having trouble eating and swallowing Dave was getting very weak and having dizzy spells. These problems ultimately resulted in Dave losing his job and landed him in the hospital with no medical insurance. While in the hospital they discovered a mass at the base of Dave's Esophagus. After a biopsy and some other testing, they diagnosed him with Stage 2 Esophageal Cancer. Unfortunately, the mass is too large to remove currently and that means that there will be an aggressive bout of Radiation and Chemotherapy.

As you can all imagine this is a difficult time for the family financially. With Dave being the main "bread winner" in the family, paying bills and everyday living has been difficult and things have gotten behind. Also, with all the new medical bills on their way things are going to continue to pile up.

Anyone that knows Dave knows that he has the biggest heart! He is someone that is willing to lend a helping hand or offer support and encouragement, whenever it is needed. Dave is the kindest and most warm-hearted human out there and we have been so privileged to have him as part of our family for the past 20+ years.

Right now, Dave needs to be concentrating on getting well and fighting with everything that he has. He does not need to be worrying about the financial side of things. If by doing this fundraiser we can maybe help lift some of the burden from him so he can focus on what is really important that is the least that we can do.
