My name is Tajaye Williams, and my heart is heavy as I write this. My community in Darliston, Jamaica, where I was born and raised, has been devastated by Hurricane Melissa. The place that once brought so much love, laughter, and unity is now in ruins. Many families, including friends and neighbors I grew up with, have lost everything — their homes, their belongings, and their sense of security.

Darliston will always be home to me. It’s where I learned what community truly means — people helping people, no matter how little they have. Now, my greatest hope is to give back and help rebuild what we’ve lost. I’m asking for your support to bring hope, shelter, and comfort to the people who made me who I am today. Together, we can help Darliston rise again.
