I’m Danielle, a single mother of four, and I’m creating this fundraiser for myself and my children after receiving unexpected notice that our lease is being terminated early because the owner is selling the home we rent. I live in Southaven, Mississippi, where Elon Musk’s company xAI has been rapidly expanding its data center and related infrastructure. That expansion has become a major issue for residents in our area, and my landlord told me that the decision to sell this home is connected to that development. Because of that sale, my four children and I now have just 60 days to find another home. This has turned our lives upside down, and I was not financially prepared for the immediate costs that come with having to secure another home so quickly.

As a parent, my biggest concern is making sure my children have a safe, stable place to land during this sudden displacement. The most urgent need right now is finding and securing a new home for us as soon as possible. The funds raised will first go toward rental application fees, the security deposit, the first month’s rent, and other necessary costs associated with relocating our household on such short notice.
