Help Daniel Stay Warm and Secure His New Job

This is a GoFundMe to fund a few weeks, during this cold weather, hotel stay for Daniel as he begins his job (which is walking distance in Carrollton) from the hotel. My husband and I are searching for a room to rent for him that is close to his job to get his feet grounded as he has nothing at the moment. We would greatly appreciate any help you’d like to donate. Daniel, the homeless guy we found on Sunday night, has found a job and will be starting tomorrow at a restaurant! My husband took him to several places yesterday to apply for jobs. Thank the Lord that a manager saw potential in him and offered him the job. The restaurant is about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel he is currently staying at. So far we have paid for him to stay until Sunday. We’re wanting to continue to help him until he gets paid which will be in about 3-4 weeks since the first pay will be held. Living assistance that he has applied for will be a process and will take a few weeks. Daniel has been very grateful and appreciative that he has somewhere warm to sleep in this cold and freezing weather. Every time he talks to my husband he is in tears of the kindness we have provided and is very grateful.

Thank you everyone who has shared resources and information. He is hopeful he will be getting a job as he has applied to several in Carrollton. In the meantime we were able to provide a hotel stay for this cold week to stay out of the freezing temperatures for a few days. He appreciated the hotel stay as it was warm and was able to sleep well and shower.

Hello everyone. If anyone can help me gather info or point me in the right direction to help a homeless person close by in Carrollton. We found him on Josey and Belt line on Friday. He was not begging for money, he was just sitting by a restaurant. We approached him as we saw he had a few belongings and heard his story. We bought him food. We saw him again today and felt the need to get him somewhere to stay over night. He is just needing a roof over his head to get him started. He has no family. He was very polite and respectful. We’re getting him to a hotel to stay for a few days in this cold. Any info to help him will be appreciated! Thanks
