Please Help Our Sweet Daniel Fight a One-in-a-Million Condition
Save a Child, Save a World…
Daniel, our 2-year-old son, is fighting an unimaginably rare genetic disease called Hoyeraal-Hreidarsson Syndrome — so rare that fewer than one child in a million is born with this cruel and life-threatening disorder.
This relentless disease has shut down Daniel’s bone marrow and destroyed his immune system. He depends on constant blood transfusions to stay alive, and the smallest virus could put his life in danger. His tiny body is like that of an 80-year-old, fragile and exhausted, and at any moment this disease can spread further and damage the rest of his organs.
It has even affected Daniel’s brain and cerebellum. Without urgent and consistent physical therapy and speech therapy, he may lose his only chance to ever walk or even say a single word. Right now, while he is still so young, there is a glimmer of hope — but time is running out.
Our only chance is to take Daniel to Boston and other specialized centers where doctors are working on treatments and clinical trials for rare genetic conditions like his. But the cost of travel, housing, and out-of-network medical care is far beyond what we can manage alone.
From the bottom of our hearts, we are asking for your help. Please take Daniel’s hand and give him the chance to live, to move, and to speak.
Every donation, every share, and every prayer can help save this sweet little boy’s life.
Daniel is the light of our lives a sweet, loving little boy who has been so brave through tests, hospital visits, and uncertainty no child should ever have to face.
To give Daniel the best possible chance at life, we must travel out of state especially to Boston, where specialists are working on treatments and clinical trials for rare genetic conditions like his. These trips are urgent, ongoing, and very costly. From airfare to temporary housing, out-of-network medical costs, and daily living expenses while away from home it’s more than we can handle alone.
Be Daniel’s Hero Today!
With love and hope,
Daniel’s family
