Rhamhat Dani comes from Badang, based in Sumatra. We met him in Balangan beach, Uluwatu. Kas surfed over his board (stupid). Later, he helped him with the repair and got to know Dani a little bit better.
Dani is a very beautiful person, with a heart of gold. He is 19 now and moved to Bali a year ago. When he started in Bali, the first months he earned €60 per month to cover all his costs. But he was happy with his cleaning job and walked there everyday for 1 hour (no money for motorbike) and back.
But Dani is very very talented. He is only 19 and already shining at his surfboard (if it’s working). He makes music and he always makes everyone happy. He also is a very good barista. Everyday he is working in his English and that’s the most important now for him to focus on.
We really really love Dani and want to help him by achieving his dream to be a surf instructor. And to help his family in Sumatra. His dad just been in the hospital for a while and so the family is getting no money in.
He is also not able to see them, because he cannot travel there (too expensive for him). The last 2 week, we took Dani on a trip to Lombok and we had the best times with him. We helped him to get some surflessons in and that made him very happy.
Now, before we leave, we want to help him a little bit more. For him and his family to survive 1 day here in Indonesia (yes, him ànd his family), it costs 100K Rupia. That’s €5 a day.
Our dream is to help Dani by getting enough money in for him and his family to live. By doing this, Dani will have the time to save money to:
- finally see his family again
- become a real surf instructor
- 1 day built his own slow coffee shop
So now our mission is to look for 365 people that are able to miss €5 for one time and give Dani his dream live
€5 - maybe you can say 1 time no to a beer, don’t buy a pakkage of sigarettes, say no to 1 more T-shirt that you already have somewhere in your closet.
