Mi hija Dana Ortiz de 13 años tuvo un accidente el día 01 de marzo de 2025 a las 11:46 am. Ella estaba en senderismo en Devil's Kitchen ya que era un hermoso día y ella estaba feliz porque le encanta caminar, pero desafortunadamente cuando estaba de regreso bajando tuvo un mareo y perdió el equilibrio y dio vueltas y al caer tuvo un fuerte impacto en su rodilla y pierna. Se llamo al 911 y los paramedicos y bomberos llegaron a dar auxilio y trasladarla al hospital al departamento de emergencia, pero debido al gran impacto en su pierna tuvo algunas fracturas la cual también ocasionó rompimiento de una arteria, el doctor dijo que talvez perderia su pierna ya que no habia circulación de sangre debido a la ruptura de la arteria y se tenia que realizar una cirugía de emergencia luchando por salvar su pierna, la cirugía se suponia era de 45 minutos pero duro 3 horas debido a su complicacion afortunadamente el cirujano logró unir la arteria, pero se mantuvo en el hospital por 4 dias monitoreando su pulso y seguir realizando examenes de sangre porque sus niveles estaban bajos. Pero aun necesita más cirugías para reconstruir sus fracturas, rompimiento de ligamentos y después poder ir a terapia, por ahora esta usando silla de ruedas y muletas. Han sido momentos muy difíciles para la niña pero ella es fuerte y muy valiente, pero también le llega la tristeza porque no sabe cuando lograra volver a caminar.

She was hiking in Devil's Kitchen as it was a beautiful day and she was happy because she loves to walk, but unfortunately when she was on her way back down she had dizziness and lost her balance and spun around and when she fell she had a strong impact on her knee and leg. 911 was called and the paramedics and firefighters arrived to give aid and transfer her to the hospital to the emergency department, but due to the great impact on her leg she had some fractures which also caused an artery to rupture, the doctor said that she might lose her leg since there was no blood circulation due to the rupture of the artery and she had to perform emergency surgery fighting to save her leg, the surgery was supposed to be 45 minutes but lasted 3 hours due to its complication fortunately the surgeon managed to unite the artery, but he remained in the hospital for 4 days monitor
