Help Dana and Her Nephews Rebuild After Fire
Donation protected
Hi, we are friends of Dana and her two nephews, Cortrell and Corvelle, who she is raising on her own. Dana and the boys live in Oakland, California. In April of this year (2024), they lost their apartment when their downstairs neighbor’s apartment caught fire; all of their belongings were filled with smoke and ruined. Since the fire, they’ve been unable to live in their home and have been sleeping on the floor of Dana’s daughter’s small home. They don’t know when or if they’ll be able to return.
School will be starting soon and the boys and Dana need new clothes, help with food, school supplies and transportation to school and doctor’s appointments (both Cortrell and Corvelle have special needs, and Dana doesn’t have a car). She’s unable to work and this has been a real hardship, as you can imagine, the loss, the uncertainty; she is trying to keep her faith that things will work out but it’s not always easy. We started this GoFundMe to help them get back on their feet; any donation amount will help. Thank you for letting us share their story.
