After seeing FB posts asking for prayers, I reached out to my old college roommate, Dan Bussan, and learned he has been homeless and unemployed since April. He was a live-in employee at a foster care group home, making a positive impact on children, but it has closed.
He made a very small income and is now staying at an emergency shelter and is down to his last $30 (they charge $12 per night after a certain time frame, so he'll be sleeping on the street soon). His car is not repairable. While there are free beds and programs to those seeking treatment for addiction, Dan has no addiction and wants to work.
I'm hoping we, as Dan's friends, can pull some money together to help him get back up and running. A week at a cheap motel, for instance, where he can regroup and get his resume/applications around town is what he is hoping for. Today he is lugging one large suitcase with all his belongings around with him.
Thanks in advance for your support.
Gary.
