Help Damian Heal: Overcoming Burn Injuries

On 7/9/24, we received the phone call that every parent dreads. Our child had been brought into the ER and was asking for us, completely unaware of anything else that had taken place prior to that call.

We weren’t quite sure what we were walking into, but never once did we imagine it would be anything close to the horrible fate waiting for us behind those doors…

Damian was involved in a car fire and sustained severe 2nd and some 3rd degree burns to what we know as of now is roughly 36% of his body. His feet, legs, buttocks, lower back, and both of his hands have the most damage by far. His upper torso also was burned but not nearly as bad. He was intubated shortly after arriving because he started experiencing signs of smoke inhalation.

He was Life Flighted around 3:30 AM to the Burn Center in Aurora, Colorado. We are hoping to take off this morning to be there with him. We have no clue or even a rough estimate on how long he might be in CO. So we are asking for help of any kind to hopefully ease any stress, whether it be financially in regards to our normal monthly bills, or the soon to be traveling back and forth, housing, food, and medical bills yet to come.
