Help Cruize Tau on his journey to recovery
Donation protected
We as Cruizes family are raising money to help Cruize Tau on his journey to recovery. Let us tell you about an infection that changed our lives forever.
But first let us tell you about our brother, our son, our nephew, our cousin, our best friend Cruize.
He is so smart and such an energetic kid, you will never see him walking he is always running, earlier this year he won his cross country coming first made us all a very proud family. We would have to chase him down for a kiss.
Cruize love’s to tell you about his adventures and we love listening to his story’s, he is very outdoorsy loves nature, fishing, swimming going on adventures in the bush.
Cruize is a twin, You will always see Harley by his side, they do everything together.
Close to the end of July
Shock hit our families as Cruize was rushed to Brisbane’s children’s hospital with lights and sirens
Many scans and MRI’s, followed by a serious brain surgery.
At this stage Mum, Dad and our familes are trying to hold it together but we are all breaking inside
Cruize spent his 8th birthday in the ICU with a ventilator breathing for him , his twin brother Harley spent his 8th birthday with out his brother wishing they were together.
Devastation set in when we were told the infection is called pneumococcal meningitis.
This infection takes and takes,
It will take your eyesight,
It will take your hearing,
It will take your mobility,
It will take your memory,
It will take the little person we all know and love so much and change them forever.
The road to recovery ❤️
A lot of rehabilitation, watching, observing,
Working with Cruize getting his joints and muscles moving again, feeling different textures, lots of speech and OT appointments along with some music and pet therapy.
We do not know how long this road will be or what the end looks like but we will never give up, we are all fighting for you Cruize ❤️❤️❤️
We are aiming to raise $40,000, these funds will go towards getting the proper equipment Cruize will need in his every day life. Things like a suitable car either with a hydraulic ramp to transport his wheelchair.
Any remaining funds will be donated to the Brisbane children’s hospital. As a thank you for saving Cruize and getting his recovery to where he is now and for the ongoing support they will be giving him.
We would like to say thank you to everyone who has show their support not only to Cruize but to our family in this hard time, there really is no way to say how hard this has been for all of us but your support is truly appreciated thank you.❤️
