After a long battle filled with ups and downs, Cassie (33yr) passed today. We are attempting to raise the funds possible to cremate her.

About Cassie!
Cassie was well known for her huge heart and love for gifting. Christmas and birthdays were always bright times with her around. She never failed to go above and beyond and would give the shirt off her back to anyone. She enjoyed reading, coloring, pearls, and manicures. Growing up, Cassie enjoyed Lisa Frank, Lizzie McGuire, Harry Potter, High School Musical, etc. Most importantly, Cassie is the proud, loving mother of Sidney (13yr autistic daughter) and Luigi (2yr dog).

What Happened!
Cassie first fell ill on December 30th, the day of her daughter's 13th birthday. She at some point contracted COVID-19 and became unresponsive. Cassie fought sepsis, kidney failure, bedsores, pneumonia, COVID-19, low blood pressure, fluid overload, and a 45-day intubation, among other things. Numerous times they said she wouldn't make it, but to their surprise, Cassie eventually went to rehab and home. During those months home, Cassie fought to gain her mobility and life back. She was finally able to sit up, pivot, and move her arms well enough to complete tasks and even play with her daughter and nieces/nephews. Cassie was eager to get her mobility and excited to get her nails done for the first time since December. Recently, Cassie was admitted for what seemed like a routine gallbladder removal. The surgery was delayed by the hospital, and Cassie became septic. However, her numbers began to improve, and they finally did the surgery. Cassie coded for 2 minutes on the table but was revived and doing fine. She woke up after the surgery, and her numbers were good. Our breath of fresh air was short-lived after Cassie took a violent turn for the worse about 12 hours later. Cassie's oxygen and blood pressure became catastrophically low regardless of interventions, and Cassie unfortunately passed.
