Greetings from Sasha, Nick, and Billy!

We’re three Outward Bound instructors excited to announce our Inside Passage expedition planned for May 2025. This remarkable route is one of the longest protected coastal paths in North America, stretching from Olympia, Washington, to Skagway, Alaska. It offers paddlers an incredible 1200 miles of safeguarded waters, surrounded by stunning mountain views and abundant wildlife. For us, this journey represents the culmination of years spent honing our paddling skills and interpersonal expertise as outdoor educators and guides.

Additionally, we aim to inspire young people to take up sea kayaking. All three of us began kayaking at a young age because of youth scholarship programs. Unfortunately, with many youth kayaking programs closing, similar opportunities are no longer available in Washington. So, we are raising funds to create a new youth sea kayaking program at Body Boat Blade, a local kayaking school in Anacortes. Seventy-five percent of the funds raised through this GoFundMe will go towards establishing a sea kayaking scholarship fund for Anacortes high school students, while the remaining twenty-five percent will help cover some of the costs associated with organizing an expedition of this scale.
