Help create new realities for People of Color

Hi I'm Maurice D. Ravennah, I've been working with foster minority foster youth ages 18 to 21 for the past 4 years. I have been running independent living programs providing housing, food, transportation, academic support, and job placement assistance for 20 youth in Atlanta. Covid 19 has hit us hard! We have been paying market rate for apartments for your youth. This has been the monthly equivalent of paying a $4,000,000 mortgage. We have decided to purchase a property to expand our operations while cutting the overall housing expense.

We have just purchased 30 acres in Atlanta GA surrounding 2 lakes. We will use this property to create housing for our foster youth, expand to provide services for veterans, and other nonprofit initiatives. We will create additional revenue generating projects on the land such as glamping sites, Kayak rentals, rock climbing wall, zip lines etc. The revenue from these will be pumped back into the social work and activism necessary to move our people forward.

We have already begun plans and projects in international investing, international banking, and starting a college. These funds will allow us to do the following:

Pay off the remaining note on the property $165,000

This is a multi million dollar property and we are almost there... We are working on owning this property outright with no incumbrances.

Improve the property with revenue Gen. $115,000

The improvements to infrastructure and additions such as rock climbing wall, kayaks, and ziplines will create great sources of revenue to fuel our social programs sustainably without the need for state/federal funding, grants, or additional donation solicitations.

Build housing for our youth programs $300,000

Building our own housing for foster youth will drastically reduce program expenses. Not only will we be able to house twice as many youth, but we will be able to push the dollars that we are saving back into the budget for staffing and additional supports to our youth.

Build housing for expansion to veterans $300,000

These funds will allow us to expand our service offerings to veterans. We will provide ILP services. That's room board, vocational assistance, academic assistance, and financial literacy instruction to help generate the savings and credit necessary for sustainable independence.

Purchas Updated Banking Software $ 50,000

We have incorporated an International Bank in Auckland New Zealand allowing for us to begin helping people invest internationally, protect their assets, and diversify in ways that have typically only been open to the super wealthy.

Rebuild our U-DO Marketplace App $ 20,000

The U-DO Global Marketplace App was designed to allow individuals to market any good, service, volunteer service, or request. This is truly for the underdog. It will allow virtually anyone with access to a cell phone to be self employed. It is already listed in both the Google and Apple play stores but needs updates that would allow us to continue with our plan of partnering with other nonprofits and shelters to bring more people into the market owning businesses for themselves.

Expand our Streaming Network U-DO TV $ 50,000

U-DO TV is a streaming network we are launching on Roku and online to break down barriers of entry to market for would be artists, musicians, entertainers, and entrepreneurs to get on tv. We have built out the network on ROKU and online for the past year. It will launch in January. We will provide Uplifting, Dynamic, Outstanding television made by our content partners. While the network will purchase some mainstream content licenses, at least 50% of the content will be sourced from upstarts. These funds will allow us to expand our small studio on the property and bring more Black and Brown people to market.

The property will be a Black Economic Empowerment Zone. We will offer monthly marketplaces allowing vendors to come and sell their weirs thus recirculating the Black Dollar!

We have devised this plan over this last year as the most efficient way to spend and diversify $1,000,000 within the framework of our proven organizational initiatives, that will allow us to help so many in these truly trying and uncertain times.

Please help us to keep foster kids and veterans from homelessness, while expanding our services and offerings to create sustainable solutions for the social work and advocacy we do that is needed more and more each day.
