Promise Land Development L L C is a minority owned Michigan real estate development company dedicated to restoring abandoned and aging homes into safe, healthy, and affordable housing. We focus on Detroit, Pontiac, and Flint, where many homes still contain dangerous lead hazards that put children at risk. The Flint water crisis showed the world how deeply lead can harm a child, and many families are still living with the effects today. Even after the water emergency, countless homes in these same neighborhoods continue to expose children to lead through old paint, dust, and deteriorating materials. Families deserve better. Children deserve homes that protect them, not homes that make them sick.

Promise Land Development L L C renovates distressed properties using licensed builders and certified lead safe practices to meet Michigan’s strengthened universal lead testing law. Our mission is to increase the number of lead safe homes available to families who urgently need them. We are starting this fundraiser because the demand for lead safe homes is growing faster than local resources can support. Many properties require extensive lead abatement and full renovation before they can be safe for children. Community support allows us to move more homes through this process and provide families with housing they can trust.
