Hi everyone, my name is Kat, and some of you may already know that every year I organize a hygiene donation drive for a local shelter in Los Angeles.
This year I’m raising funds to create 20–25 hygiene kits for the Karsh Center in Koreatown, which serves individuals and families experiencing homelessness or housing insecurity. Hygiene is something that everyone deserves access to, and these kits can make a real difference in helping people feel clean, confident, and cared for.
Each kit will include:
Toothbrush & toothpaste
Soap or body wash
Shampoo & conditioner
Deodorant (unscented or mild scent)
Razor & shaving cream
Comb or hair brush
Feminine hygiene products (pads/tampons)
Travel wipes / hand & body wipes
Lip balm and sunscreen
As a bonus, I’ll also be printing and including information sheets listing places across Los Angeles where people can take free showers, such as St. Francis Center, Saban Community Clinic, and Union Rescue Mission. That way, the kits won’t just offer supplies but will connect people directly to resources that help them stay clean and healthy.
Your donation, no matter how small, helps make this possible. Whether it’s funding one full kit, contributing toward supplies, or just spreading the word, your support means the world.
Thank you for helping me continue this yearly tradition of giving back and keeping our community cared for and dignified. ❤️
