My name is Donncha Feeley, and I am a Life Scout with Troop 284 in Lafayette, CA, working towards my Eagle Scout rank. I'm excited to share my Eagle Scout project with you: building a beautiful and tranquil Zen Garden for Burton Valley Elementary School (BVE).

BVE holds a special place in my heart – I have so many wonderful memories from my time there. Now, I want to give back to the school community by creating a peaceful space for students to relax, reflect, and find a moment of calm.

BVE has a fantastic resource called the Zen Den, a counseling center where students can go for support. My project will enhance the Zen Den by creating an outdoor extension: a traditional Zen Garden right outside.

This Zen Garden will provide a valuable space for students to practice mindfulness and reduce stress, improve their emotional well-being, and connect with nature in a calming environment.

This project will not only benefit the students but also beautify the school grounds and create a positive atmosphere for everyone.

To make this vision a reality, I need your help. I'm raising $900 to cover the costs of materials.

Every contribution, no matter the size, will bring me closer to my goal and help create this special space for the students of BVE.
