My friend, Courtney Miquel—who many know as Rex—has always been the kind of person who gives her all, even when life has been incredibly tough. For nearly a decade, she’s battled serious health problems, but she always bounced back, sometimes working three jobs and never letting on how much she was struggling. Even now, after everything she’s been through, she still tries to see the silver lining and wants to give back to others.
But this past year has been especially hard for Courtney. In March 2025, she became deathly ill and was hospitalized for over 21 days. She could barely walk and had to undergo two emergency surgeries. At the same time, she was going through a painful divorce from someone who was extremely abusive. Now, she’s homeless, separated from her beloved service dog, and her mother has kept all her belongings from her. For the first time, I’ve seen her truly at her lowest, and it breaks my heart.
Courtney is afraid to ask for help, but she needs it now more than ever. The funds raised here will go directly toward her phone bill, medical expenses, and helping her reunite with her precious dog, Falkor. Every bit of support will help her regain stability, find safety, and move forward. Thank you so much for any help you can give—your kindness means the world to both of us.
