Federal Heights City Councilwoman Bonnie Sellers is a treasure who cares deeply about our community. Anybody who knows Bonnie knows that she can be found at just about any political rally or charity event in our community, ready to help in any way that she can. Bonnie's daughter Michelle, Michelle's husband Sam, and their foster daughter Kenna (age six) tragically lost all of their possessions in a home fire on Wednesday, 12/3, as well as their pet cats.

Because they live in a mobile home, they were unable to acquire homeowner's insurance and will not be fully recompensated for their lost possessions with the renter's insurance that they had. The cost of a new mobile home (as theirs was already paid off) in Michigan can be as much as $150,000. But for now we are trying to raise at least $25,000 for a significant down payment.
