Cortney, Heather, and his family are in need of prayer and any help they can get. Over Thanksgiving break, Cortney suddenly became ill and had extreme problems breathing. He was directly admitted to Pulmonary ICU on Sunday. While being in the hospital, Courtney's wife had to miss work and has not left his side. Cortney has been going through therapy in the hospital in preparation to hopefully be released to go home. Once home, he will still need around the clock care, including different medical equipment and therapy. They will need to modify their living space and turn their living room into his personal room as he is unable to go upstairs. This includes purchasing a medical bed, bathroom equipment, and so much more. The situation will be permanent, as Cortney will be unable to return to work. Once he is out of the hospital, Heather will still be assisting him with all of his needs. Due to both Cortney and Heather not being able to work, bills have started to accrue. If you know this family, they contribute so much to our school and our community. As a teacher, Heather is highly dedicated to her students. She comes to work before anyone and takes care of all the students that come here before school doors open. Heather also stays late after dismissal to help our families with aftercare before returning to her classroom to prepare for her students the next day. Working over 12 hours each day, she is the last one to leave the school. Heather goes above and beyond to do anything for anyone. A major focus she teaches to her students is kindness and generosity to others. This is our opportunity to do this for them.
