Help Cordale Sheffield Heal After Heroic Act
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Chrishad Sheffield, and I’m reaching out as the brother of Cordale Sheffield, one of the burn victims of the tragic Garden Valley apartment explosion that occurred on June 23rd, 2025, in Cleveland, Ohio.
That day changed everything.
Cordale’s apartment was the epicenter of a gas explosion — one that had reportedly been called in multiple times by tenants over the past two weeks. On that hot afternoon, something sparked — and his entire apartment blew up in seconds.
Cordale was thrown from the explosion, his body immediately engulfed in flames. But even through unimaginable pain — with burns now covering 93% of his body — he acted with courage that most can only imagine.
Inside the apartment were two young children — not his biological kids, but his girlfriend’s, ages 10 and 11. Cordale saved both of them.
He caught the young boy when he jumped from the window. And when the girl was too scared to jump… he ran back into the fire to get her. With his skin already burned, Cordale carried her to safety.
He is currently sedated in critical condition, undergoing surgeries every few days, and will be in the hospital for months. He has lost everything — his home, his belongings, and most of his skin. But what he never lost was his will to protect others, even at the cost of his own life.
Now Cordale needs us.
We’re asking for donations to help cover his medical costs, recovery expenses, and support for his children and family during this devastating time. Whether you can give financially or simply share this campaign, we appreciate every bit of love, support, and prayer.
Cordalw is a true hero, and he deserves to be honored, protected, and cared for the same way he cared for those kids.
Thank you for standing with our family in this fight.
