Hello, my name is Chrishad Sheffield, and I’m reaching out as the brother of Cordale Sheffield, one of the burn victims of the tragic Garden Valley apartment explosion that occurred on June 23rd, 2025, in Cleveland, Ohio. 

Inside the apartment were two young children — not his biological kids, but his girlfriend’s, ages 10 and 11. Cordale saved both of them. 
 
He caught the young boy when he jumped from the window. And when the girl was too scared to jump… he ran back into the fire to get her. With his skin already burned, Cordale carried her to safety. 
 
He is currently sedated in critical condition, undergoing surgeries every few days, and will be in the hospital for months. He has lost everything — his home, his belongings, and most of his skin. But what he never lost was his will to protect others, even at the cost of his own life. 
 
Now Cordale needs us. 
 
We’re asking for donations to help cover his medical costs, recovery expenses, and support for his children and family during this devastating time. Whether you can give financially or simply share this campaign, we appreciate every bit of love, support, and prayer. 
 
Cordale is a true hero, and he deserves to be honored, protected, and cared for the same way he cared for those kids.
