Hi, my name is Constance. I'm a single mother of three. My children are ages 17, 14, and 6. My youngest is autistic. We’ve had quite a journey!

Late last year I decided to buy a home as we’ve struggled with homelessness a number of times over the years. After assessing everything it was clear to me: I need to purchase a home, or end up back in the streets!

To purchase a home was the only way to be able to afford a place long term.

I met with family members and they agreed to allow us to reside with them until purchase of our home. Unfortunately, caring for a special needs child comes with challenges. However, my son’s challenges and other factors created issues and we had to leave.

I’m currently awaiting for the land trust I’m working with to complete their part, as I have been approved to purchase a home!!

We are staying at a hotel now. It's costing $70 to $110 per night to stay in the hotel. Any funds I have are going towards the cost of the hotel,feeding my kids, car payments and phone bills. Shelters are currently filled.

Once the land trust gives the final approval we will be shopping for a home. I will need at least $2000 available for inspection and closing costs.

I'm so close to getting my family in a new home and obtaining the stability they need. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
