Help Connor Experience Unforgettable Educational Trips

Hello everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. If you don't already know me, my name is Heather, and I am a single parent raising two amazing boys. Today, I am reaching out with a humble request for your support.

This year is a significant one for my oldest son, Connor, as he embarks on his 8th-grade journey. Connor has several exciting opportunities for events and trips that he is incredibly enthusiastic about. Unfortunately, these opportunities come with significant costs that I am struggling to manage on my own.

Currently, I am already paying a substantial amount monthly towards his 8th-grade Washington DC trip, along with the costs for his band activities, our rent, car payment, utilities, insurance, food and simply the increased cost of living we are all facing. Despite my best efforts, I am simply unable to cover all these expenses alone.

Connor's Exciting Opportunities:

Catalina Island Trip:

When: End of August or beginning of September 2025

Cost: $500

Details: Connor will attend the Catalina Island Marine Institute – Outdoor Science School (CIMI), where he will gain hands-on experience in marine science labs and ocean exploration. He will snorkel, investigate sea life, and participate in nighttime events to discover the ocean at night. This is something he has been eagerly anticipating since last year.

Washington DC, Charlottesville, and Gettysburg Trip:

When: June 7 - 11, 2026

Cost: $3,248 (with nearly $2,000 still needed)

Details: This trip will provide Connor with a unique educational experience, visiting historical sites and learning about the nation's history firsthand. I have been making monthly payments for the past several months but still have a significant amount to cover.

As the new school year approaches, there are several other inevitable expenses, including new school clothes, shoes, school supplies, band uniform costs, travel costs for performances at Disneyland and Knott’s, and multiple instrument rentals.

Any contribution you can make would be greatly appreciated. If you are unable to help, I completely understand, but I felt it was important to try for the sake of my children. I want to provide them with unique opportunities as they grow, experiences that I didn't have myself.
