How often can you REALLY make a difference in someone’s life?
Hi everyone, my name is Ronda. I am starting this fund on behalf of a desperate military family who needs your immediate help.
This family is dear to us. They are amazing people that we know intimately and have celebrated many holidays together.
Unfortunately, tragedy struck this year.
The father is a 35-year-old combat veteran. Like many other veterans, he suffers from PTSD and other mental health issues. He recently experienced an episode that requires extended care in a facility, not fully covered by his benefits.
Like many American families today, they live paycheck to paycheck, so now his wife, who is dealing with a high-risk pregnancy (it’s a girl!), their preschool-aged daughter, and beloved family dog have no income. (I hope you understand that I'm not sharing names due to mental health privacy concerns, and that a child is part of the story ).
Your gift will provide them with essential shelter, basic needs, and also ensure that their daughter isn't further traumatized while she comes to terms with “daddy isn’t coming home for a while”.
Every donation, no matter the size, is so incredibly appreciated. Your kindness and generosity at any capacity serves as a little bit of hope for their future. If you are unable to donate, sharing this story far and wide can also make a significant impact.
Many of us have a loved one or know someone who struggles with their mental health. I extend my deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to each one of you taking a moment to read this and support a loving family as they try to heal and adjust from this unsettling circumstance.
May your act of kindness be returned to you a thousand-fold!
