My name is Collette Henry, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart from Westmoreland, Jamaica . My family of eight has lost nearly everything after Hurricane Melissa tore through our area. Our home was completely destroyed — the place where we built our memories, celebrated birthdays, and shared love is now gone.

We’re currently without a stable place to stay and have very little food or supplies. Each day is a challenge as we try to keep our children safe, warm, and hopeful while we figure out what’s next.

We’re doing our best to stay strong, but it’s been incredibly hard to start over from nothing. I’m creating this GoFundMe to help us get basic essentials like food, clothes, and temporary shelter — and eventually begin rebuilding our home.
